A Note to our Readers and Writers

 

Thank you for taking this journey with us! Since we published our “Beginnings” issue in the spring of 2021, we have shared stories by so many talented writers from across the state. We hope that you are thinking about writing for us, too!

As of Issue #5, the animal issue— we have published 117 Kansas-connected writers we have published stories from 70 Kansas counties, we have added the Ad Astra Award for excellence in writing and have plans to continue honoring two writers per issue ($50 cash prize per award), we have partnered with seven independent Kansas bookstores, we have shipped copies of 105 Meadowlark Reader to readers in 21 US states and to the UK and Japan.

And we have plans for more!
